NEED A VACATION?

This month Mad Kane is inspiring us to take a vacation ~ at least in our own head! Check out the Limerick and Haiku prompt over at Mad Kane's Humor Blog. The topic is "vacations" ~ go on over and take a little trip!

A little limerick for you:

A vacation is calling my name.
Mr. Brownstone says he hears the same,
We want New York City...
Too expensive. A pity!
There'll be no Yankee Stadium game.

And now the haiku:

Vacations are bliss.
Mountains, beaches...or theme parks
We come home refreshed.

Mad Kane deserves a little vacation. Not only does she provide great creative prompts, she is an award winner! Nominated recently as a finalist for the 2008 Robert Benchley Society Award for Humor Competition, she was chosen as the first place winner by none other than Bob Newhart. She won for her humor column Guide For The Opera Impaired. You should totally go read it because it IS funny!

Congratulations on your accomplishment, Ms. Kane!

Don't forget...
It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world!
